i currently listen to my music on an innioasis Y1, which i purchased in february 2026 for me and my friend tatiana so we could begin our streaming-free music journey. i *highly* recommend it. i love it for so many reasons. it definitely fills the iPod-shaped hole in my millenial ass heart. the muscle memory really kicks in, as the mechanics are made to replicate that of an iPod. another reason i love it is because it is extremely customizable.you can create your own icons and themes. (i have made a fun halloween theme for mine!!) it also comes in cute colors. love that.
to download my music, i use a converter that uses youtube links to create an mp3 out of the audio. i use a program called mp3tag to edit the mp3's metadata to add album artwork to the ripped files. spotify can kiss my ass 0:-) (and i'm now taking my opportunity to encourage you to cancel your spotify subscription!! their prices are ridiculous, they underpay artists, and the CEO has millions tied up in investments with AI military garbage. gross!!)
i am admittedly not someone who seeks out new music to listen to very often. i sort of just listen to the same albums over and over. i know that would drive some people mad but i genuinely don't mind it. i have some demand avoidance tendencies when it comes to things like new movies and music. idk. my top 3 fav bands are coheed and cambria, my chemical romance, and ghost.
other artists i enjoy to varying degrees: grimes (literally so embarassing, but i do really enjoy her music), system of a down, joe hisaishi, chappell roan, the strokes, evanescence, fleetwood mac, queens of the stone age, florence and the machine, avenged sevenfold, julian casablancas, the prize fighter inferno, fleet foxes, baronness, the sword, jack white, linkin park, the mars volta, paramore, the smashing pumpkins, beach bunny, the white stripes, childish gambino, the used, the doors, ls dunes, aurora, kate bush, bjork, shania twain, eisley, flyleaf, hemlocke springs, ginger root

Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness
by Coheed and Cambria
bro was talking to a DOG the whole time. this is THE album that got me into Coheed and Cambria. love the opening music (that fun fact- is present in all of their concept albums just in different arrangements). welcome home is a banger, idc idc idc. this album will have me shouting in my car. my voice will be scratchy as fuck afterwards because claudio is an absolute powerhouse. i watched an interview with claudio about the storytelling of the album and was convinced to read the amory wars because i could *not* get over that he killed his wife in the story AND SHE STILL MARRIED HIM. THEY HAVE A CHILD TOGETHER. truly that *is* the madness.

Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge
by My Chemical Romance
i vividly remember listening to this for the first time with my crush in middle school. she stole it from her older brother. we played it on my cd player, laying in bed, splitting the earbuds. we listened to it when we were just about to go to sleep. what an introduction to this absolutely amazing album. i recently got a copy of Life on the Murder Scene and enjoyed myself so much. this album gets me so hyped. amazing karoake fodder. it makes me wanna get all gashed up and wear a black shirt with a red tie something FIERCE.

The Black Parade
by My Chemical Romance
one of the first cds i ever bought with my own money. it has never failed me. i remember listening to this album with my very christian mom in the car (because i NEEDED to hear it) and always skipping track 9 cause i was scared she would make me throw the cd away and just being like "yeah i don't really like that song that much" every time LMFAO

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3
by Coheed and Cambria
such a good album. it feels superhuman. one of my favorite things about this album is the (i'm assuming) rush tribute that is nestled into a hidden track at the end of the album. it's so beautiful. this album will *absolutely* have me hollering "die white girls" in the car.

Meliora
by Ghost
i am fairly new to listening to ghost but they have quickly became one of my favorite bands. I HAVE RELIGIOUS TRAUMA. it's really no surprise to anyone. i'm just kind of bummed i didn't start listening to them sooner. it was hard for me to really pick which albums of theirs are my favorites, since i think i've been focusing more on individual songs versus the albums as a whole. that being said, CIRICE IS SUCH A GOOD FUCKING SONG. dare i say my fav ghost song and maybe one of my fav songs ever. i'm so obsessed. i will be running this song into the ground. it's perfection. i want to insert this song into my consciousness. i want to hear it in my dreams. also the music video is awesome. also the deluxe edition of this album has a cover of missionary man which is one of my fav covers they have done. 100/10. also terzo.....i love looking at terzo okay.

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys
by My Chemical Romance
LOOK ALIVE, SUNSHINE this album came out while i was still in high school, i remember really digging it and feeling sort of insecure because a lot of people *did not* like it in the online spaces i was in lmao. and i did understand because it did feel really different to The Black Parade, but i found it to be incredibly catchy- with a energy that gets me just as pumped as their previous albums. the more i delved into the visuals the more obsessed i was. i don't usually like the whole "radio" theme in albums (Songs for the Deaf, for example, is probably my least favorite Queen of the Stone Age album) but i don't mind it here as it really helps with the narrative. i still have not read the comic mini series for this album. i need to do that.

The Afterman: Ascension
by Coheed and Cambria
my favorite out of the twin albums!! love the narrative bits woven into the album. "the hollow" feels comforting to me for some reason. i am so curious about the book they released as a counterpart to this album but it's really rare to come across....my nosy ass wants to know more about sirius amory and wtf he was up to. the album artwork and visuals are wonderful i'm so sad that i don't have the case to the cd anymore.

Skeletá
by Ghost
it's really hard to narrow down my fav ghost albums at this point.....lachryma is one of my favorite music videos though. the visuals are perfection. other songs i'm enjoying are peacefield, satanized, and umbra. idk i just think this album has some of my fav songs of theirs so i have decided to put it here lol.

Art Angels
by Grimes UGH OKAY. i'm actually ashamed that i like this person's music so much because they harbor some awful politics. like. girl. the world's first trillionaire. could not get more evil. yikes. i remember a friend of mine in art school showing me some of her songs and not really being into it. THEN. i randomly came across the music video for Delete Forever in 2018. (the sailor moon-esque visuals!!!) and became OBSESSED and fell down the rabbit hole of her entire discography. i really like her first album geidi primes as well. no one ever talks about how obsessed with dune she is. i listened to a podcast about her relationship with elon musk and no one mentioned it. i feel like it would perhaps provide some context. lmao. (i am also obsessed with dune.) i think aside from the tracks on this album being some of my favorites, i also really enjoy the music video visuals as well. like a feast for the eyes and the ears.
songs on repeat
Cirice by Ghost
"I know your soul is not tainted, even though you've been told so" HITS HARDDDDDD. has tobias forge seen LOST? this song makes me think he has lmao. i am incredibly hyperfixated on this song rn. all day i'm at work humming it until i can get in my car and listen to it, multiple times, on the way home. i wish i could eat, sleep, and breathe this song. i have not been this obsessed with a song in a really long time. i hope the magic of this song never wears off. please go watch the music video. it's amazing.
Deranged by Coheed and Cambria
this song (as well as The Joke) were made specifically for the arkham city soundtrack. they also correlate to more lore about al the killer of the velorium camper?? both songs are so catchy, claudio's voice is so amazing, but i'm favoring this song atm. admittedly, i like these two songs better than most of the songs on their newest album :I oops
Boy Division by My Chemical Romance
i go through phases with this song where i listen to it a bunch. it's just so catchy and gets me really hyped so it's perfect to listen to on my way into work. this song combines the vibes of Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge with Danger Days so perfectly. the weird LUH LUH LUH LA towards the end of the song makes me feel so ALIVE.
Dance Macabre by Ghost
this songs makes me wanna BEWITCH you all night. nah for real it makes me want to ballroom dance lmao. also very catchy, i find myself humming it a lot throughout the day at work. the music video is so fun. a little glimpse into how papa nihil and sister imperator met.
Say So (MTV EMA 2020) version by Doja Cat
omggggg. i do enjoy the regular version of this song but THIS. THIS IS SO GOOD. the performance is everything....her outfit, the RING reference, the set design, the angles.....I WILL NEVER RECOVER. i'm so glad i have this on my mp3 now because it was never available on spotify.
Lachryma by Ghost
seeing this music video is really what jumpstarted my newfound interest in ghost. i love perpetua as a lil vampire bat. i would like to see more of that. he's so expressive now that he isn't wearing a full on mask. i really love the use of light + color in the music video. i really like how this song sort of abruptly closes out too. "i'm done" and so is the song lmao.
