welcome to my journal page!!
prior to this year i have never been able to keep a consistant journal. i think because i had a certain idea of what a journal *should* be- crisp, polished, for deep thoughts, etc. but this year i decided to just have fun and not care so much about silly made up rules.

i purchased my journal from daiso. it was inexpensive, very low stakes. i mocked up the cover on procreate, printed it, and inserted it into the plastic sleeve. (the background of the cover and on this webpage is a photo from a pond in the woods behind my parent's house that is covered with duckweed!!) the inside has a monthly calendar as well as sections for each day. i combine a lot of different things in this journal. i like to do drawings on the calendar and then stickers, collages, notes, to do lists, and a mini media log on the daily sections. i've been really enjoying choosing a color theme to guide me throughout the month. this flows really well for me and because i'm doing drawings and adding stickers i don't feel pressured to do a lot of writing to fill up space. ultimately i just wanted a place to document memories and feelings and then see what all i got up to at the end of the year!!
